Enjoy the day visiting central Otago’s off-the-beaten-track cellar doors and tasting the region’s finest wines 

Including a visit to New Zealand’s underground wine cave at Gibbston Valley.

Get your senses moving while tasting and smelling over 18 spectacular cool-climate wines. Enjoy an optional lunch (additional cost ordered on the day) while your experienced wine guide and knowledgeable cellar team educate you about the local winemaking facts and interesting stories.

The tour duration is approximately 6 hours and departs Central Queenstown daily at 10:00 am and returns around 4:00 pm.

We pick up from the main bus stop routes in Queenstown town centre and along Frankton Road. When booking, type in your accommodation and it will suggest the closest bus stop. If it doesn’t come up just check in with us and we’ll let you know where is closest for you!

We start with a cave tour at Gibbston Valley, followed by a tasting at the wonderful Kinross where we then stop for lunch. After lunch you’ll visit Mt Rosa and the fourth stop of the trip is the guide’s choice!

Our lunch stop is at Kinross who offer main meals as well as sharing style platters and bites. You’ll pay Kinross directly for these meals on the day.

Your guide will provide a menu and pre-order your meal at the beginning of the tour. just let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

We have no age restrictions to join the tours however of course you must be 18 years of age to drink alcohol.

All levels of wine knowledge are welcome.

Central Otago is famous for it’s Pinot Noir, so there will certainly be plenty of that to taste! Other varieties you’ll taste are Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and Riesling.

All wine purchased on tour will be kept in the boot of the vehicle and passed over to you at the end of the tour.
