From your hotel, the airport, or the cruise ship dock, we will pick you up in our Majestic Mercedes vehicle and take you on a memorable adventure. You will experience a spellbinding journey into the picturesque region of Waikato during our private, two-hour scenic drive south of Auckland. We stop at a beautiful location along the road to take beautiful pictures, and we can accommodate any additional stops you like.
You will have the option to spend 30-45 minutes at the famed Shire’s Rest Cafe or indulging in the official Hobbiton gift shop after you arrive at the Hobbiton Movie Set. Then, your Middle Earth adventure officially starts.
Meet your knowledgeable tour guide at Hobbiton, who will lead you on a captivating two-hour guided group tour through The Hobbit Holes, The Mill, The Double Arched Bridge, and even treat you to a complimentary drink at The Green Dragon Inn.
Be prepared to document this amazing place with a lot of pictures and movies. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch provided in the lovely Party Marquee while getting a true sense of the Shire.
We provide a communal eating experience for our buffet-style lunch, allowing you to enjoy the tastes of the Shire while sitting at a table with other intrepid travelers.
* For limited mobility, we can provide a golf cart to transport you around the movie set (Depending on availability).

We provide complimentary pick-up and drop-off services from any accommodation in Central Auckland.
It takes approximately 2 hours to drive from Auckland to Hobbiton, depending on the traffic.
